With the section lines and ownership lines, the map may be easier to read when it is oriented with north toward the top of the screen.

Tips
Map Detail Setting
It is important to be aware of the Map Detail setting on GPS units because this setting allows you to adjust how late or how early the map features load while zooming. HuntingGPSmaps are designed to be used on the default 'Normal' Setting. The most common use for a different map detail setting is to see more detailed topography at a more zoomed out zoom level. This can help the user determine the rises and falls in the terrain easier. To make the detailed topo lines load earlier, simply change the Map Detail setting to 'Most'.
Instructions (GPSMAP 60 & 76 series, Rhinos, and Etrex units)

From the menu screen - select 'Setup' - select 'Map' - then select 'Advanced Map Setup' - then select 'Detail' - and set to 'Most' or 'Less' as desired
SD card Troubleshooting
I plugged in the microSD card but it doesn't look like anything changed.
First, Double-check that you have inserted the microSD card properly into the GPS - Watch this Video for Details on Installing your microSD card. Next, zoom out to where you can see the whole boundary of the state that you ordered. Then zoom in to an area within that state (if you live in another state, you must pan map to the state you ordered and zoom in). You must zoom in until your map scale represents 2 miles before the ownership coloring will load. Continue to zoom to see roads, topo, and other map details. If you can't see a feature that you would expect to see, ZOOM IN.
In the Map Information area of your GPS, you should be able to see the name of the map you purchased, for example, if I ordered the map for Montana I would see MT_PLAT4GPS. If you don't see the map name that you ordered, the chip may have been dislodged while the batteries were snapped into the GPS. Check the chip again. Call us if you still don't see the map in the Map Information page on your GPS
