As a law enforcement officer I found the CO BLM mapping system to be very helpful. We deal with hunting trespass issues daily during the big game seasons and this program really takes the headaches out of determining land ownership. It is easily cross referenced to other maps and so far has shown to be dead on. Keep up the good work.

I have really had a lot of fun with my gps since getting the land status map from you. It makes it much more valuable. As a rancher it is important in this day and age to be able to show hunters exactly where they are at instead of pointing to a paper map and getting them to understand it.

I installed your topo sd in my Dakota 20 and the same day located secluded parcels of state and forest service properties that had no markings or signs. I had found no one who could tell me how to get to the tracts. I had driven the area repeatedly, but was previously unable to locate the boundaries and entrances to the tracts. Now it is easy with your maps on my gps. The sd card was literally plug-and-play; I inserted the sd card into my gps, my gps found the satellites, and I drove directly to the forest service land. I showed it to the local Forest Service office and they were impressed.

My name is Greg I am from Montana, in August of 2009 I drew a good Elk permit. The area I was to hunt was littered with BLM and State land mixed with private. I have always wanted a program like the one offered by HuntingGPSmaps. I ordered the program and it layered on my Garmin with absolutely no problems.
The program proved invaluable for scouting, finding a camp spot and especially hunting the area. I was able to find a hard to get to spot on state next to private and shot my bull on opening day. This is a valuable product and worth while. Thanks HuntingGPSmaps.
I live in Southern Wyoming. The public land is interlased with private. I have found the hunting maps sd card to be irriplaceable. There are areas that I have passed up for years with game on them because I was not sure of the boundries. It has made my hunting much more enjoyable and relaxed.

Hi Eric, THX for your quick reply. We have examined the map data on the Idaho Land maps that I ordered for myself to test before ordering for the company. We here at TWC use Garmin Rinos to identify locations between maintenance techs in the field using the APRS function of the radios (primarily metro in Coeurd'Alene and environs) and find your data to be considerably more complete than what we have been using from Garmin. Also, we use Garmin NUVI's for identification over rural fiber routes where the land ownership data is very valuable to us. That said, we would like to (... order more).

I just went out to test the map on a new piece of National Forest Land last night. They just put up fresh signs to mark the boundaries and the map was dead on. Right as I walked past the sign the screen changed from green to white. Really Impressive!

Well I finally drew my favorite area in Wyoming which I have helped my brother and several other friends get there first elk with a bow. Last year my friend Alan from California
drew a tag and I helped him take a nice 6x6 and told him he needed to practice calling for me if I draw! Well he did. Since I live here I went and found a really good spot. I helped my wife take her first elk. It was a nice 6x6. Then I was excited when my buddy showed up! I just had a feeling it was going to be my year! We set up and had 3 bulls talking! I moved a head about 100 yards and let him start calling. Things got crazy I had a 6x6 with two cows about 80 yards to my left, one monster bull with about 20 cows 300 yards in front of me and then a 3 one came up out of a drainage 2 my right. I was getting very excited after glassing all 3 I knew any of them would work for my first archery elk! I ranged a few spots and waited as patiently as any bow
hunter could. I shot my elk at 48 yards with a pse mach 10! I would like to thank you guys at Montana mapping and gps for your blm map chip. It really did open up a lot more private land areas I never thought you had access to! I would recommend any hunter in the state of Wyoming to buy one!

I like to hunt, but I am using it more for geocaching. This is a great tool to know if I am on private property before I place a cache! It will be very nice for hunting next season as well! I love this map set. I actually used it today to let a friend know that he had just put a cache on someones private property. He thought it was Plum Creek land. I do wish it showed elevation on it though. Although my unit shows it anyways, so it isn't a big deal to me. Keep up the good work!

I LOVE THIS MAP !!! It has totally changed hunting for me. I have found more public land this year than I have the past 15 years of hunting. Very clear and easy to read. I wish the road names were better( more accurate) but the roads are all shown. Also a very handy tool to quickly put arguments to rest with landowners trying to keep you out of public lands. LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!

When I first heard about your maps I had the impression that your maps were mainly aimed at big game hunters in the mountain west. Now that I’ve had a chance to look closely at your website and the free map you sent me, I can see that your maps would be of great value to all outdoorsmen. With your excellent identification of various public land types, and in some states, walk in areas, your maps would be equally useful to prairie and upland hunters, fishermen, and backpackers. I’m sure that you already know this, but the point I’m trying to make is that I think it would be worth your while to market your maps to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts, including non-hunters.
I have four Garmin GPS units and plan to build new map sets for at least two of them before next fall’s hunting seasons. I’m sure I’ll be using at least some of your public land overlays and perhaps one of your plat and/or topo maps, especially if you come out with a plat map for Colorado.
Thanks much for the free map. It really sells itself…it’s that much better than the maps I’ve used in the past.

"We took the GPS map out to our ranch to test the accuracy. There is a BLM section marker in the ground where the corner of our private land meets up with the BLM section. We stood over the marker and zoomed in on our GPS. Our location was plotted within feet of where the yellow BLM background met the white background on the GPS."

Here is one of the bulls we took this last season, it was taken with the aid of your product, I had pre-season scouted this bull and several others, I way pointed where I wanted my guide Eric Christopherson to take his hunters to glass and wait for this Bull and several others I had been watching- he went into this area for the first time guided by his GPS and your software, he went exactly to the spot way pointed and on opening day guided his hunter , Rick Young of Rick Young Outdoors and his nice Bull.
